Solution
The TSE range is perfect for installations in areas protected by the Fine Arts Authority
HiRef was selected to design the air conditioning system for a prestigious hotel in the historic center of Venice, where highly efficient solutions were required in terms of compactness, quietness, and resistance to the saline environment. The main challenge was the need to install the units in a very limited outdoor space, subject to Fine Arts Authority restrictions and overlooking an internal garden, where it was essential to maintain a very low visual and acoustic impact.
To meet these specific requirements, HiRef supplied two split TSE chillers, representing the optimal solution for particularly limited installation spaces.
These units are defined as moto-evaporating because the indoor section comprising the compressor, evaporator, and expansion valve is paired with an external remote condenser. This feature not only allows better use of the available space in the plant room but also reduces the outdoor footprint by selecting more compact remote condensers.
What were the distinguishing features of the project?
The remote condensers were selected with a V-Shape configuration, a choice that made it possible to exploit vertical development, further reducing the ground footprint. In addition, a specific anti-corrosion treatment was applied, certified to protect the surfaces from saline agents and ensure maximum durability in the particularly aggressive lagoon environment of Venice.
And regarding noise?
The Super Low Noise configuration involves the use of oversized fans, allowing the same condensation capacity to be maintained while reducing the rotational speed, thus significantly lowering noise levels.
Thanks to careful tailor-made design and the use of the best available technologies, HiRef successfully met the client's needs, overcoming the constraints imposed by the limited space, architectural context, and environmental conditions.
